Adopt an Ayahuasca

A big thank you to all the people who decided to join our project for the protection and conservation of Ayahuasca vines and other Amazonian teacher plants.

At Takiwasi we have been planting Ayahuasca and other teacher plants for more than 25 years in our Botanical Reserve, a protected area of 54 hectares located inside the Cordillera Escalera conservation area, on the outskirts of the city of Tarapoto.

Our goal now is for 50 new Ayahuasca seedlings to be sponsored and planted and thanks to your support we are halfway there! Join our conservation actions by adopting an Ayahuasca vine or another teacher plant. Thank you!

It also includes an unreleased ikaro traditionally sung by José Vela during ritual plant baths!

The Bitter Side of Ayahuasca

An article by Itzhak Beery published online on Lucid News, July 23, 2020.

Excerpt: "The missing piece in today’s dialogue around the rampant popularity of plant medicines such as ayahuasca and other hallucinatory rituals in the Western world is one simple word: greed. They claim that the spirit of ayahuasca decided that this is the time to spread its healing wisdom to a world suffering from emotional pain and spiritual emptiness. Maybe. Or maybe there is another motive behind this trend".
