In memory of Rosa
Dear Friends,
My wife and adventure partner, Rosa, passed on Monday, March 7 at 1:00 p.m. heading to other skies. The accumulated loads and fatigue defeated the invincible mother, doctor and healer. The retaining dam broke. Since September 2021, she had a growing tiredness and a lack of appetite that only grew until her body gave up. For the past 6 months, we lived together a deep and arduous process of maturation and purification. She left light as the bird ready to explore new heights.
I had by my side for 36 years an exceptional woman, of great charisma, with a rich and complex personality that brought together the round and feminine of an Italian mom (for her paternal family) and the implacable and masculine of a Japanese Samurai (for her maternal family).
She left an indelible mark on many people. Many of you, already informed, have sent me letters and messages. Thank you very much for your support in these difficult times.
Life goes on... Takiwasi will go on.
It will take me some time to metabolize everything that just happened and was so surprising.
I thank you in advance for your thoughts and prayers for Rosa's transition to the light of the world above, and for us the strength to continue as she wanted.
With love,
Jacques.
“We believe that death is an absence, when it is actually a discreet presence. It is believed to create infinite distance, while suppressing all distance, returning to the spirit what was localized in the flesh. How many bonds it renews, how many barriers it breaks, how many walls it breaks down, how much mist it dissipates, if we are willing. To live is often to part; To die is to reunite. It is not a paradox to say so. For those who have reached the bottom of love: death is a consecration not a punishment...” F. Antonin de Sertillanges.

We have collected some of the numerous comments and messages of condolences received through email and social networks that describe Rosa, her personality and her way of being, seen by the people who met her on the path of life. We believe that there is no better testimony of the impact that Rosa had on the lives of so many people, and of her legacy both on a human level and as a health professional dedicated to helping others.

The cultural legacy
In 2008, the National Institute of Culture of Peru declared Cultural Patrimony of the Nation to the traditional knowledge and uses of Ayahuasca practiced by native Amazonian communities. The technical file was prepared by Dr. Rosa Giove at the request of the Regional Government of San Martín.

Ábrete Corazón
In an interview in 2020, Dr. Rosa Giove told us about the origin and specificity of the ikaros that she sings and especially about Ábrete Corazón, the most famous ikaro that she has received and that today is sung during concerts, events and ayahuasca ceremonies all over the world and is recognized for its enormous healing power.
respira profundo, ábrete a él...
